When Will We Cure Cancer?
Perhaps not in the foreseeable future, but we will continue to develop technologies and treatments that give cancer patients a longer, healthier lease on life. With increasingly sophisticated medical tools, we'll prevent tumor genesis and development, stemming the life of malignant growths. The disease will still be part of our lives, but we may look back on the late 20th century as the last time the word "cancer" inspired flat-out terror.
