Will Christopher Reeve Walk Again?
Mr. Superman says he wouldn't bet the farm on it - but it just might happen. The reason? The past decade of research has all but eliminated the notion that spinal cord tissue will not heal. Tremendous strides have been made in both bypassing the cells that prevent regrowth in the spinal cord area and in transplanting nerve cells to take place of the damaged ones. So while Christopher Reeve may not walk soon, he may some day. Flying could take a little longer.
